Over Christmas break I had a great time creating several decorations. I'm not very artistic but I do try my best to make easy diy decorations. Over the summer we had spent time at the beach collecting shells. I saw a shell wreath I liked for about $50!! I decided to create my own. I bought a foam wreath from Hobby Lobby for $3.00 and ribbon on clearance. First I wrapped the ribbon around the wreath and hot glued it. Then I started hot gluing shells to the ribbon. Last I tied a bow around the top. I don't think it's too bad for my first attempt. As I collect more shells I'll fill in more spots!
Shells: Decor and Memories
I've always loved heading to the beach and gathering shells. I remember coming home with a neck ache from scowering the ground all day for shells and creatures. My shells have been kept in jars and baskets all these years. I decided to come up with a way to display them. Our downstairs bathroom is slowly becoming beach themed, so for Christmas I decided to create a shell wreath and shell tree. You can see them below!

After making the wreath, I also decided to create a shell tree. My mom had an old styrofoam cone that I used. I hot glued shells all around the cone and created the larger tree in front. It was very simple to make and fun!
